How Do I Become A Volunteer?
The Deposit Foundation & Rural Housing Services is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation. We receive annual support from the United Way of Broome County, do many fundraisers and also depend on donations from our community and other foundations to keep these programs operating. If you donate, it would be tax deductible according to current tax laws. No matter how you give, you will receive a thank you letter from our organization. There are two ways to give:
1. Send a check made out to The Deposit Foundation & RHS, Inc. at PO Box 41, Deposit, NY 13754
2. You can donate online using PayPal. Just click on the Personal Tab. Under the Send Money section, select Send Money Online. This will take you to a screen that will ask for our email address. Type in: dfrhs@tds.net and follow the instructions.
The Deposit Foundation and Rural Housing Services, Inc. uses many volunteers for the Transportation Program, Senior Companions Program, Toys for Tots and Board of Directors. If you have some free time and are interested in helping others you can become a volunteer by contacting the office for more information.
