Parade

History

In 1976, the first Deposit Lumberjack Festival Parade honored Deposit's Celebration of America's Bicentennial as well as the namesake Lumberjacks. The first parade featured about seventy units. The parade featured many fire departments, great floats, bands and marchers, a huge Lumberjack float and the Indian Country Indians. Each summer the air is filled with the music from the repertoire of the parade's many musical groups. The first pipe band marched in the 1989 parade. This year's parade will also feature units from all over. You will see marching bands, fire departments, color guard units, pipe & drum bands, fire engines, marches, the new 2010 Lumberjill and much, much more.
